The red circle is the nominal daytime range of the signal. The blue circle is the nominal nighttime range of the signal. These ranges are only rough guidelines. Local conditions can affect the signal, so you may be able to receive it much further away than the map suggests. On the other hand, you may be inside one of the circles and not be able to receive it.
